I finally took a crack at the first lesson in my intermediate-level Chinese book, and it’s not easy.
So as I listen to the classical and jazz albums I own, I notice that I keep coming back to the same songs over and over again. Could these be considered standards of their respective genres? Well, as far as my tastes are concerned, perhaps so.
Geez, you’d think that w/ my JPN Xbox 360 fixed that I’d be thrilled, but honestly, I’m not.
Holy shit and knock on wood, but I just got my broken Japanese Xbox 360 to work! I watched another vid on Youtube and it said to reattach the x-clamps (that I took off and left off), turn it on, and if it didn’t work, unplug the fan, power it up and let it overheat, then turn it off for ~20min. I did it, and the thing works now! Well, I shouldn’t be too happy: this is just a temporary fix until I can drum up the courage (and funds) to buy a new one. Still, I’m happy. Quite happy. 🙂
After what seemed like weeks, we finally got some rain both last night and today. In fact, it rained so much that the nearly dried-up pond behind our house filled right back up.
Just went out for another ride, this time through the park behind our house. It was more difficult than I thought it’d be, but I managed to ride the entire thing just fine (though I almost ran into a tree while riding down a hill). My arm’s aren’t tired either, but my legs… I think riding a bike is going to help toughen up my leg muscles.
At least, that’s how I (try to) see it. So a couple days ago, I bought a new bike. Why? Well, b/c I was tired of living my same old hiding-in-doors lifestyle (yes, this is going to be a long entry).
And no, it’s not food.
A bit melodramatic perhaps, but that about sums it up tonight.
Chinese be given me some troubles.
